Mouth shut
Mouth shut en Cuevana. "Mouth shut" is a character-driven psychological drama unfolding through a psychiatric session with Agata, an out-of-town university student living alone in Bologna and struggling with an eating disorder she cannot fully acknowledge. At the core of Agata’s condition lies a paradox: her inability to recognize her own illness. Within her, a constant conflict between rationality and irrationality takes shape, as she remains suspended between the urge to fight and the temptation to embrace what has become an integral part of her identity. Through her internal struggle, the film offers an intimate lens on an often invisible illness, exploring how social perceptions and stereotypes prevent those affected from recognizing themselves, and being recognized, as “sick enough” to deserve care and attention. "Mouth shut" provides a raw yet delicate glimpse into an increasingly pervasive reality, aiming to raise awareness by inviting the audience not to rely on what they see, but on what they feel.
